Strides for Safe Sleep Sponsors
Aden Lamps Foundation
The Aden Lamps Foundation was founded in 2014, by Ashley Lamps, in memory of her son . Ashley's mission is to educate others about the importance of safe sleep so that, hopefully, no one else has to go through what I have. Aden died on January 18th, 2013. He was not placed on his back to sleep and there was a fleece blanket in the bed with him. I knew right away that I needed to do something to provide more education to parents to attempt to prevent this tragedy from happening to someone else. Since then, we have given a safe sleep package to every newborn born at our local hospitals, which includes a Halo sleep sack, and Charlie's Kids board book, as well as safe sleep information.
The Aden Lamps Foundation provides pack-n-plays to those in need, as well as new cribs to local homeless shelters. They have a safe sleep display at a local library. The Foundation has a buy back program to ensure babies are not placed in unsafe products, such as inclined sleepers, crib wedges, drop side cribs, and co sleeper beds. They have also provided safe sleep banners to the local hospitals and doctor’s offices.
Adensmom.com is a blog for new parents with a strong emphasis on communicating the science behind safe sleep practices. Our easy-to-understand series of guides answer frequently asked questions about how to prevent SIDS and SUID. In addition to separating the evidence from the “you do you mama,” our mission is to normalize safe sleep and show that it’s not only lifesaving, but that it can be pretty too.
All for childhood

Through advocacy surrounding infant and child care safety, The Claire Bear Foundation hopes to promote informed decision making and security for all families. Services provided include ensuring families have safe sleep spaces for infants, legislative outreach at both the state and federal level, and partnerships with medical facilities to provide increased training for medical personnel in child trauma and resuscitation.

The Charlie’s Kids story is about turning a tragic loss into a catalyst for change. On April 6, 2010, college sweethearts Sam and Maura Hanke welcomed their first child into the world.
Charlie Paul Hanke was beautiful and healthy, and the new parents were elated. Just 3 weeks later, on April 28, Sam and Maura experienced the most devastating loss a parent can imagine. The night before, like so many new fathers do, Sam laid down on the couch with Charlie asleep on his chest. Sam woke up, but Charlie didn’t. At just 3 weeks old, Charlie had died from SIDS, brought on by an unsafe sleep environment. Sam is a pediatric cardiologist, and Maura was a kindergarten teacher. They were as prepared and diligent as two new parents could be. In the midst of their grief, Sam and Maura realized that if this tragedy could happen to them, it could happen to anyone. So on the day that should have been his first birthday, they started the Charlie’s Kids Foundation, to honor Charlie’s memory, and to do everything in their power to help prevent other parents from experiencing the same loss they had.
Charlie’s Kids mission is to advocate safe sleep to prevent infant death. We leverage a unique combination of medical expertise and our own personal experience, to educate both parents and the medical community about SIDS and safe sleep. Whether it’s through our children’s book, “Sleep Baby Safe and Snug,” our partnership with organizations like the American Academy of Pediatrics, or through a growing body of digital content, Charlie’s Kids is devoted to helping parents protect their babies, by using the fundamentals of safe sleep:
Alone. Back. Crib. Most importantly, we know safe sleep is hard. We also know it’s worth it

At Restfully, we believe in utilizing science, data, and empathy to help parents teach their children how to become independent sleepers. As you know, when children sleep better, parents do too! Restfully coaches are highly trained professionals, who are graduates of our prestigious REST Academy.
Not only do we fully educate our coaches upfront with a science-backed training program, but they also spend months working with clients with the help of our skilled mentors to ensure successful relationships between our clients and coaches. We continue educating our coaches well after they graduate, so that they are always informed with the latest information about sleep and other parenting-related topics.
Almost all of our coaches are parents themselves, understanding the complexities of not only sleep training, but also other common parenting situations, such as how to manage multiple children’s schedules (ie siblings, twins, etc).
At Restfully, our coaches work with clients to create a custom, individualized REST (sleep) plan to address their child's specific needs. Coaches work with clients for 2+ weeks and provide daily, consistent communication to support parents to implement the plan. Restfully plans are customized to meet the individual needs of our clients. Our goals are to provide parents with education around the different types of sleep training methodologies and to support parents throughout their sleep training journey.
